Folds of Honor began with a powerful moment on Lt Col Dan Rooney’s flight home from Iraq. As an F-16 fighter pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, Lt Col Rooney was deeply moved by the sight of a fallen soldier’s flag-draped casket being met by family on the tarmac. Witnessing the grief of Corporal Brock Bucklin’s loved ones, including his young son, Lt Col Rooney committed himself to supporting families like theirs. Founded in 2007, Folds of Honor provides scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled military members, ensuring they are supported through education and opportunity. Today, their mission includes the families of first responders, standing with those who protect our communities every day.
Though Folds of Honor has expanded nationwide, all proceeds from this event will go directly to support families in Nevada, helping the loved ones of the state's fallen and disabled heroes and first responders. Together, we’re honoring their sacrifice with hope, education, and unwavering support in the community.
